OPOTIKI DISTRICT MUSEUM
The Opotiki Heritage & Agriculture Society has created this museum, whose exhibits have all been collected locally to showcase the region's heritage. Located on the main street, the Opotiki District Museum is arranged over three floors. The Maori and early pioneer worlds are well developed (upstairs). But also the agricultural history of the surrounding area, with a vast collection of vintage tools and vehicles, as well as exhibits featuring printing, shearing, saddlery, the dairy industry and even candles (first floor).
