ROTORUA MUSEUM
In a historic building, which once was a spa, the Rotorua Museum is a symbol of the economic and social history of the region and, in particular, its seaside role. You can see old baths and treatment rooms and therapies, while discovering the methods not always effective at the time… A little Cinema tells the past of the surroundings in pictures, with the eruption of Mount Tarawera and its consequences. Perhaps the most interesting part is that devoted to the Maori culture, with many arts and crafts objects, as well as an exhibition on the contribution of the Polynesian people during the war. At the top of the building, a platform livre a beautiful panorama on Rotorua.
