The Dougnut Box is one of the newcomers to the Taupō culinary scene. Opened in December 2022, it immediately won over all the curious diners who came through the door. Everything is made on the premises, using local produce of the highest standard ( Lewis road creamery dairy products in particular), and in small batches to guarantee optimum freshness. If you ask Amanda - the store's thinking head - why doughnuts? "Because they make people happy," she says. And it's true, the doughnuts here are bites of pure happiness.
