Haka Lodge Taupo has opened one of its finest addresses here. Based on its model of comfort and quality, the good wooden beds have curtains for more privacy, and the common areas are friendly, with a living room, a kitchen, a dining room, a nice terrace (with a view of the Tongariro) and good outdoor spaces to enjoy the nice days (there is even a spa in the garden). In the category of youth hostel, we don't do better. It is possible to book a tour to Tongariro from the hostel.

Très contente. L'auberge n'est pas trop loin du centre ville et des arrêts de bus Intercity. On voit un peu le lac depuis la terrasse. Elle est très propre, la cuisine impeccable comme le lounge ou salle de bain.
Les chambres ont des lits superposés en bois avec des rideaux, parfait pour l'intimité. Des prises et lampes sont aussi installées dans chaque lit. Génial pour tout recharger pendant la nuit. La navette pour le Tongariro est passée me prendre juste à l'entrée à 5h45. Pratique vu l'heure.
