"Quaint and nostalgic right beside the Lake Taupo" are the words this motel uses to describe itself, the key word in the sentence being "quaint", a very cute little word meaning "with old-fashioned charm" (hence the "nostalgic" that follows). As a result, this motel has more cachet and charm than the classic motels, which is not to our displeasure! Facing Two Mile Beach, its 11 accommodations (double rooms, studios or apartments) are cosy and very cute, with bathroom, fridge, microwave, TV and even spa for some.
