Built in 1909, the County Hotel is one of the few buildings to have survived the earthquake of 1931, making it one of the oldest buildings in the city. It has retained its Edwardian charm while adapting its interiors over time to meet the comfort requirements of the luxury industry. Today it is the most upscale hotel in the city and prices can be very high depending on the season and the room chosen. There is a restaurant and a bar on the first floor, both of which offer high quality food and beverages.
