A Napier landmark, The Cabana was one of rock'n'roll's flagship venues in the 70s, 80s and 90s, when numerous bands travelled the country to perform here and there. Having fallen a little into disuse in the 2000s, the club was taken over in 2010 by 7 Napier musicians, all of whom had spent some excellent times there as spectators or musicians in their younger days, and were determined to give the place a second wind. And they succeeded! Live music, DJs and a varied program make this a good address for night owls passing through.
