Located a 30-minute walk from the centre of New Plymouth, Stadium Taranaki is more commonly known as the Yarrow Stadium of the name of a famous buisnessman and philanthropist Noel Yarrow who funded the renovation of the town hall in 2002. Passed away in 2008, he won't see the three hen matches in "his" stadium. It will be the meetings of the United States, against Ireland and Russia in Group C and Wales-Namibia in Group D. Used for the first time as Rugby Land in 1931, it was in 1947 that the first elements of the enclosure were built.

Capacity. 25 500 places.

Residents. Taranaki Rugby Football Union and occasionally the Hurricanes in Super 14.

Inauguration. 1947.
