This 4-hectare reconstruction of a village of some 50 buildings takes us back to the pioneering days of the 19th and 20th centuries. We immerse ourselves in the aesthetics and lifestyle of these early Europeans who made the Taranaki region their new home. It's an interesting immersion in the area's past and in the way of life of yesteryear; you can imagine the sacrifices they made to come here, abandoning everything from their native lands, and the immensity of the task to rebuild everything and settle in these new latitudes.
