The Te Manawa complex brings together a science center, history museum and art gallery all at the same time, and under the same roof!
Permanent exhibits include one on the iwi (tribes) of the Manawatū, Rangitīkei and Horowhenua regions; another on the Manawatū River, its geological history and cultural significance; and one on the history of the settlers and travelers who traversed this region through objects that belonged to them. See the site for temporary exhibitions, generally more focused on art and culture.
