TRANZ METRO

The Tranz Metro is a commuter train service. Since Wellington, it has five lines: Johnsonville Line, Kapiti Line, Melling Line, Hutt Valley Line and Wairarapa Line. Waikanae - the line having been extended after Paraparaumu - is on the northwest coast and Upper Valley in the east. Day Rover is a one day ticket that allows you to benefit from the entire network of trains with the possibility of changing line and interruption. It is valid from 9 p. m. to p. m. during the weekend and all day on weekends and holidays on Kapiti, Upper Hutt and Johnsonville Lines but not on Wairarapa Line.
