Garage Project is THE big name in craft beer in New Zealand. Created in 2011 by 3 friends (including 2 brothers) with an initial production of 50 l per week, the "nano-brewery" as they called themselves, has grown well and raked in numerous trophies and awards since then. The team decided to stay in Aro Valley, the neighborhood where it all began. The Tap Room may be a little out of the way, but it's well worth the detour, with its 18 taps and warm, friendly neighborhood atmosphere.
