From Picton, the Queen Charlotte Drive is a scenic and winding 40 km road that runs along the Sounds and offers superb views. Five minutes from Havelock is Cullen Point, a superb 180-degree viewpoint of Mahau Sound and Havelock. Due to the sharp turns, the winding nature of the road and especially the deteriorating road conditions, please be alert and drive with caution. The Linkwater to Keneperu Sound section is closed to the public due to extensive damage from the 2022 storm.
