A museum that will suit everyone. It is not only known for its café on the fourth floor but also for its diversity of proposals. You can enjoy the Maori gallery, the mummy, the dinosaur bones, the gallery of naturalized birds, but also an exhibition on Antarctica that recalls the inspiring life of the first explorers. Opened in 1867, it is a site to be visited by young and old alike, as evidenced by the historical walk down a reconstructed colonial street (kitschy decoration of the time guaranteed)

Juste à côté du jardin botanique, l’entrée du musée est gratuite et vous fait voyager pendant 2h environ. Histoire, culture, mer, outils...

Musée gratuit, très intéressant et varié. Ne manquez pas la reconstitution de la rue commerçante du 19° siècle.

Musée fort intéressant, très pédagogique. Une des rares visites gratuites en Nouvelle Zélande, de même que les magnifiques jardins botaniques juste à côté !
En plus de ça c'est gratuit ! Vaut le détour
