Named after the famous New Zealand mountaineer, explorer, humanitarian and ambassador, this information center is dedicated to Mount Cook, its region, its people and that is what makes it unique. Located in the Hermitage Hotel, there is also a planetarium on site and a 3D cinema. There are many exhibits such as the climbing exhibit, the transportation exhibit and the exhibit about Sir Edmund Hillary himself who trained on the Aoraki before reaching the roof of the world.
