For almost thirty years this small Mexican restaurant, run by kiwis, has been offering a chance to eat good, spicy, fresh and exotic food to change you from burgers and fish & chips. The paintings on the walls are by local artists and the place is quite friendly. Every Tuesday, all the tacos are only six dollars. Amigos also has other South Island restaurants in Cromwell, Dunedin, Invercargill and Alexandra. You can book a table easily on their website.
