Just over seventy years ago, the Wanaka Willow Tree was used as a common fence post. But in 2014 everything changed when a photographer won the New Zealand Best Photography Award with a shot of what would become the famous Wanaka Tree. Since then, the tree attracts the curiosity of all. It must be said that its growth in the middle of the water questions: a solitary tree half immersed in the water on a background of lake and magnificent mountains. Thus, it makes the happiness of many amateurs of photo.
