As of April 2010, Absoloot is one of the city's best hostels, just a stone's throw from Lake Wakatipu and in the heart of Queenstown. The interiors are modern, well-appointed and offer great views of the surrounding landscape. There is a well-equipped shared kitchen, a lounge/game room and a great atmosphere. The hostel has 96 wooden beds in dormitories with no more than six beds and there are also private rooms. The wi-fi is free. All hot drinks are free.
