Many hiking trails are located around Queenstown. Frankton Walkway is a very pleasant walk to make and easy to access: its 6 km paths drive to the Kawarau River (2-hour round trip). Time Walk on Queenstown Hill (2 hours round round) is pretty pleasant or Ben Lomond track, which is a bit longer (6 hours round round) and a more difficult one, but offers splendid panoramas. Finally, the Mount Crichton Reserve, on the road to Glenorchy, is a very popular track (counting 3 or 4 hours round-trip).
