The Dunedin Art Gallery features important Japanese and European collections, including some works by French impressionists. A broad overview of contemporary New Zealand art is presented on four levels. It's a very informative visit that you shouldn't miss, especially since it's free, so why miss out? There is even a small souvenir store on site. The staff is very pleasant and helpful.
