Like many other places in New Zealand, Te Anau has its glowworm caves, which can be visited with Real NZ, one of New Zealand's largest tour operators. The 12,000 year old caves in Te Anau are filled with glowworms which are quite spectacular and worth a visit if you are visiting the area. The tour lasts just over two hours (2:15) and includes a boat ride to Cavern House Cave and a boat ride across Lake Te Anau.

Une sortie tres touristique et un plutot chere (85$ pour 2h) mais vaut la peine. Une premiere partie croisiere sur le lac Te Anau tres belle en fin de journee, suivie d'une balade en barque magique dans la grotte. Balade magique avec des glowworms a portee de main, tel un ciel etoile.

Croisière agréable d'une demie heure sur le lac de Te Anau. Ensuite visite de la grotte uniquement pour les vers luisants. Très original. Cheminement dans l'obscurité.

on a fait du canyoning dans les glowworms cave!
effrayant et magnifique! et il faisait tres froid mais ca vallait le cout!
en plus c'est les grottes de gollum!

The visit Glowworms is exceptional: the boat organised by Real Journey is very pleasant, and a stroll in the boat in the illuminated cave worms luisants is magical.
