Burmese cuisine is delicate, rich in spices of all kinds. You'll find it in rice noodles, ginger salad, curried pork, beef with tofu and samosas. Discover them on Clement Street in Richmond, an increasingly gourmet neighborhood, as well as in the East Bay (in Alameda and Oakland). Don't miss the tea leaf salad, a subtle, gourmet blend of green tea, crunchy peanuts, crispy beans, sesame seeds, garlic and sautéed shrimp.

Great vegetarian options that are not overwhelmingly spicy. Tea leaf salad and somusa soup came out in a minute; hence the service is quick.

Highly recommend if you are looking for food with tremendous amount of flavor. TBH I was skeptical at first as to how I would like Burmese cuisine, however my doubts were cleared when we got our food. There were three of who went, including a vegetarian. The food was delivered relatively quickly after ordering. We ordered three different appetizers including the tea leaf salad, the platha&dip, and the vegetarian samusa soup. The salad was very refreshing, the soup was aromatic with lots of flavor and the platha was hearty and nourishing. For our mains we ordered the Burmese lamb curry, the mint chicken, and the firecracker cauliflower. This was a lot of food for 3 people, but we ended up taking it home. Please add this to your list of places to eat in SF. Cons: long wait time (on Thursday night it was 1 hour) but thats expected given the high quality food.

What a great time! We sat outside and Jane took great care of us, even thinking to bring a plastic bag for our to go because I mentioned I was sticking it in my backpack! Samosas, yea leaf salad, chicken flat noodles, and eggplant tofu curry were all tasty AF. We're stoked to try Bstar bar next time!

An excellent restaurant with dishes full of variety and flavor. Space is a bit limited (good luck trying to find parking - Uber instead, if feasible) but worth the wait. Samosas, platha, and coconut rice were among my favorite items.
