Dominique Crenn is the first woman to have been awarded three Michelin stars. More than a restaurant, it is a workshop-studio that she runs, leading what she calls a culinary poetry. Each dish is named after a poem and tells a story, seasonal of course. So prepare yourself for an exceptional experience. Our chef does not fail in his origins, his menu fully enjoys his Breton roots. You should also try the Bar Crenn bistro, which has been awarded a star. As for the Petit Crenn restaurant, it is located in the heart of Hayes Valley.

I did extensive research for our dining plans.
I have watched the episodes of Chef's Table and I do cook.
I have traveled extensively throughout the World.
According to Dominique, each dish would take me on a journey.
It was an absolute failure of a journey.
The food service appeared to be rushed and insincere.
There was very little explained prior to eating each dish.
I found that the dishes all ran together with very little swings in tone or flavors.
It was the exact opposite of an experience that Dominique claims to deliver.
The Netflix episode is a great production film based mostly on a fictional experience at best. Dominique, nor what she claims to stand for never showed up.
One of the times we went there, there was a dish I will always remember -- A Walk through the Forest. It paired mushrooms with sweet meringue on a wooden plank covered with pine needles. I never imagined mushrooms and meringue would pair well, but this was an amazing taste sensation in a form that truly evoked my childhood memories of exploring the woods adjacent to my home.
Food that can transport you back in time is truly a wondrous gift.
