Located in the heart of Japantown, this ramen house is famous and crowded, so remember to make reservations for evenings and weekends. The star of the menu is the Hinodeya Ramen, a noodles soup with bonito (tuna), kombu and scallops. You can also add pork cha-shu, soft-boiled eggs, dried seaweed and green onions. Vegetarian ramen is also popular, with soya milk, sesame and spinach noodles, a creamy soup that can be topped with a cake of tofu, pepper, fried kale and shiitake mushroom. Try it out!

I hate to post this but I was food poisoned from a delivery order I had last night from Hinodeya Japantown. I ordered two sets of gyoza and the hinodeya ramen. Unclear which poisoned me because I ate all of it but I felt indigestion, dizzy, lightheaded, and almost passed out. Eventuality I got everything out of me so I'm feeling fine today but yesterday was too scary to take another chance on this place. Hinodeya please check your food safety quality control

Not sure about the meaty menu but the vegan zen ramen was bland at best and served Luke warm. The creamy ramen was that plus a strange sweetness that didn't work with any of the vegetables. The green gyoza was just ok and the vegan spring rolls were fried nicely on the outside but bland and mushy on the inside. The kid's ramen was nearly tasteless oily warm water. The total bill was $90 and none of it was worth our time unfortunately. I'd skip this place if you're looking for a vegan option.
