The same concept as its small brother and neighbour, the Crossroads Café, the servers and employees are ex-inmates in a reintegration program (the Delancey Street Foundation). The staff were very friendly and helpful. For the evening, typical American kitchen and excellent cakes (taste chocolate-based, a delight) for a few dollars. A very good address.

( one of them literally ran after me because I forgot my bag ... Thank you so much sir !)
Run by ex convicts transitioning back into the work force, through culinary training, the place is beautiful to look at, and gun to eat at.
I've heard various opinions about the food, so I'd stick with the basics. After enjoying a harvest salad, We ordered the ribeye with finger potatoes, the Portoli sole with mashed potatoes, and the scallops with snap peas, which were overdone a bit, but still tasted good.
My paloma, (a drink made with mezcal) was really strong!
We finished with the Key Lime pie, Valrohna chocolate lava cake, and the Tiramisu.
The staff is super friendly, and the prices were AMAZING.
This is great option for dining in the embarcadero area, but also a great place to impress a date on a budget.
Fine dining meets diner food, or "Fine Diner"
I recommend it!
INSIDE TIP:
The focaccia bread here is to die for, super soft and yummy you might want to take some home.
