Facility with a beautiful view of the Pacific, offering clean and functional rooms and an outdoor pool

This hotel has been around since 1959. Far from Downtown, but overlooking the Pacific, the Seal Rock Inn is one of the few oceanfront establishments. You're right next to the famous Lands End Lookout and Sea Lion Island. The motel-style rooms are simple but clean and functional, with a pleasant outdoor pool. Some have kitchenettes and fireplaces; others, on the upper floors, have sea views. Ideal for falling asleep lulled by the waves of the Pacific, just a stone's throw from Presidio and Golden Gate parks.

It's been years since I visited this area of San Francisco and I'm so fortunate that my son purchased a night for us at the Seal Rock Inn. What a fabulous place! It's spacious, clean, & has all the amenities, including a full coffee bar, microwave, fridge and an absolutely beautifully renovated bathroom/shower. It's very close to the hiking trail that goes to the Sutro Baths...a long and highly recommended part of San Francisco history, which includes the Cliff House, sadly no longer there, and the Great Highway with a stretch of beach, beautiful for strolling. The succulent flowers and cypress trees all covered in a fine mist which is the fog floating over from the ocean touches my heart ❤️.

The seal rock inn was peaceful, clean, welcoming, with excellent service and wonderful location. It was a most amazingly unexpected place- for a clean, relaxing and peaceful stay I highly recommend it.
And I highly recommend visiting the ocean/ seal rock down the street!!
