We really enjoyed our stay there August 2023, perfect location for our needs, good memories, helpful during our stay. Would highly recommend.

Traditional and therefore quirky in today's culture. Mid 20th Century vibe. Small but welcoming with lovely staff and a superstar named Skittles.

Truly a gem and an amazing find. I stayed here with my mom in August 2023 on our first visit to San Francisco. Conveniently located to the cable cars and other city transit. Would definitely stay here again!

This will now be my go-to hotel everytime I visit San Francisco. Great location, easy walk to numerous restaurants and bars. Union Square is close with much more expensive hotels.
PROS- great location, the staff was friendly, helpful, simply amazing (shout out to Maria, Rhian and another nice young lady which I did not get the name), nice touches like coffee and tea available at the lobby. Complimentary breakfast at sister hotel a couple doors down. Cookies available in the afternoon. Each room is nicely furnished. The elevator is over a 100 years old but still works! Very clean. Felt like staying at your grandma's place in SF. Having Skittles the cat hanging out at the lobby added to the experience.
CONS - Water pressure was low but I survived. Some rooms have a clawfoot tub, so be advised if you don't want to climb over the tub.

Such a great deal for the best location in San Francisco. This charming old-fashioned boutique hotel made me feel right at home with daily hot breakfast and cookies and tea in the afternoon - I would definitely stay again

One the cutest and cozy hotels I've stayed in. The customer service is austanding.
Loved San Francisco and stayed again for two nights in 2016 July. Managed to see things we missed in 2015. Then took California Zephyr from Emeryville to Chicago and The Capital to Rockville MD again to visit family.
Planning on another stay July 2024 I’m guessing it may not still be the same cat this time.
Looking forward to it it felt like home the second time.
