Tinny bar full of corporate people with no room and long wait time for dinner even if the table are empty.
Don’t stay here during the events or conferences. No capacity to handle all the people.
1. They falsely stated in the website that there is complementary parking onsite. In fact, they force you to do valet parking. The parking spot is right next to the entrance, why? Just for 68dollars? Fine, I believe not many people care, so state it clearly in your website.
2. The noise: the hotel didn’t let me know that I will experience noise all night in advance. So both my wife and I don’t have any sleep during the night. They are kind enough to waive the resort fee. But I do not care even if you refund everything. Refund a small resort fee is in a way an insult. You can not buy my sleep, not for 65 bucks. Can I buy your sleep for 65 bucks? I guess I can not.
3. The weather is horrible. My own fault
4. The beach is covered with dead jellyfish, no one’s fault.
As a result, it is a horrible experience for me on that day.
Advice to you all:
If you are financially comfortable, ignore what I mentioned above. Book for a whole week. You will enjoy it very much except the noise
If you are not, book one or two days in summer and fall. Or just enjoy the view. It is fantastic. The hotel itself doesn’t worth anything over $300 bucks in my opinion
Take my advice with grain of salt. I left my review after my anger is gone.
"Hotel Messages
Starting in February 2024, a refresh to our guest rooms and suites will be taking place. We are committed to minimizing disruptions; however, you may notice updates taking place."
Feel bad for the manager at the property who was very helpful when we checked in and out w/in 20 minutes. Marriott should be ashamed and embarrassed for putting the employees and guests in this position. Not worth the cost given the disruptive noise- see video.
One star for the rude customers.
On the second floor, there was a woman keeping shouting/screaming and making noise from 12 am to 6am this morning(04/01/2024). I did not know where she was and how to ask the front desk for help. This was just like an April Fools' Day special event. Horrible experience and my head still hurts.
Btw, I think Byredo smells better.
服务员很好專業。
食物更好吃。
I think he runs this scheme where he claims to be contacting the cleaning crew but is really just talking to himself. He even went to the back room to "check on it". I think its just a game he pulls on people
When we got to the room it was the room type he promised but it was all the way down the hall in the worst spot and nowhere near to where he promised. The cleaning crew didnt look like they had been contacted and almost every other room of the same type was unoccupied. Thankfully after contacting them, the manager KJ made it right.
Every other time we have been here we havent been haggled being platinum elite but Connor definitely decided to make it difficult
Otherwise, everything was great, i know everything cant always be perfect. My wife and i love visiting the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay and will be back. Hopefully Connor will no longer be here
Just had the worst experience of my entire career staying at this hotel. I’ve been staying there for almost 10 years bringing my daughters, my mom and myself for my birthday. Today was my daughter‘s birthday and one of the front desk managers. He claimed to be the front desk manager, but was not. Refused to check us in because I did not have my drivers license. I had other forms of ID. I had already checked in on the Bonvoy mobile app. I’m a titanium elite member. There was absolutely many ways to accommodate me. But instead he told me he would not let me stay at the hotel, and turn us around and we had to drive over four hours back home because he was a jerk. Also he treated me poorly because I was dressed in a hoodie and sweatpants because I was comfortable driving. I watched him talk to other people in sports coats in a completely different manner. The hotel called to say they were sorry, but really didn’t seem to mean it. I don’t think I’ll ever be staying at this again. The location and hotel is dated. The rooms are dated. And unfortunately, the staff that used to be great has now turned into jerks. This guy at the front desk was the perfect epitome of who you would not want to have working for you. So we wasted my entire daughters birthday and she’s completely devastated. Thanks Ritz. Not.
