Amtrak operates daily trains to various destinations in California (a total of 74 stations in the region): San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles in the south, Oakland and Emeryville in the San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento in the north. It even goes as far as Seattle. Take advantage of this opportunity to move from city to city and park to park with this train service, which is quite rare in the United States. Tickets are not that expensive and the cars are comfortable. You can book a sleeping car and even a room with a shower.
