V. SATTUI WINERY
One comes to this charming winery more for its renowned delicatessen than for the wine, which is a little less interesting.
Vittorio Sattui, a young Italian immigrant, created this charming winery in 1885. Closed since Prohibition, it was his grandson who resurrected the family business in 1976. Today one comes to V. Sattui Winery more for its delicatessen than for the somewhat less interesting wine. Here you'll find more than a hundred cheeses from California, but also from the rest of the United States and Europe, sandwiches made to order, fresh bread and groceries to eat in its large shady garden or to take home as a souvenir.
