So many reasons I love Flamingo Resort, mainly the gorgeous grounds and the humongous sparkling swimming pool, friendly service and well made food of all sorts . . . Treat yourself to a stay at the Flamingo Hotel and Resort!????????????
Great place to stay. Convenient location. Pet friendly. If you’re following your GPS, just beware that approaching the hotel from northbound Farmers Lane, the directions may tell you to make a left turn onto Fourth Street (Sonoma Highway). Don’t turn left, but instead continue straight ahead through the intersection directly to the Flamingo. Can’t miss it.
After making reservation online, was not able to check in because my ID was expired...they didn't refund my $150 and told me to leave. NEVER going back there
The place is majestic beauty, a stark reminder of the previous generation. A testament to it's standing presence is the consistency of customer service and quality.
Not bad for the price. Nice sized rooms. Even though they had a renovation, the resort is a bit dated. There were no room, a luggage, but no table/chairs for casual dining or writing. There were no elevators to get to second floor, only stairs. It was impossible to find a luggage cart. The restaurant had more of an Asian cuisine with a minimum menu selection.
Great location for restaurants and shopping as it's next to the main boulevards. Overall a fair stay for the price.
If you have a chance to stay, you will be relaxed by the cleanliness and visual appeal the restaurant has. It has something for everyone on the menu and will not disappoint. The pool and rooms are 10 out of 10 ????
Had issues checking in, kids running all through day and night, partying throughout the night in the hallways, and my bathroom had a broken sink with a constantly running toilet.
The new owners of The flamingo hotel resort are bringing in an element that is ruining our neighborhood! It is not the same fun place that local people used to know.
We are still country people with country values and I hope that we can hang on to those values!
We had a blast here! Service is stellar! We forgot a toothbrush and they provided immediately and brought to our room! On a rainy night this was so helpful! The room was awesome and the jacuzzi was hot, the whole place is immaculate!
My husband and I believe the bad reviews here are from local competitors. We have both worked in high end hospitality for decades and can attest this team and hotel are 10/10! Oliver at the front desk was especially sweet!
Flamingo hotel is almost no not almost is a landmark of Santa Rosa and has been here for over 60 years I remember this motel when I was 6 years old and when there was two gas stations on the corners they even had a gas war and gasoline got down to 19 cents a gallon that'll make y'all cry anyways this landmark hotel flamingo has been here for very long time has always been a very high class motel and my grandmother even worked there for 30 40 years Dorothy M. I'm very slight woman but one heck of a hard worker was a maid for room service and was a wonderful person and loved her job there and loved the people they have a very nice bar very high class restaurant and of course very nice rooms visit them whenever you visit our wonderful town of Santa Rosa and have a wonderful day
Overall I enjoyed my time at the Flamingo. I was here on a work trip in the winter for four nights during the week, so your results may differ in the summer and on weekends.
PROS:
Very nice looking property. Despite being next to a busy arterial road, you do not hear any noise from it and the interior of the hotel gives you the feeling of an oasis escape.
The heated pool was nice - I enjoyed a morning swim each day when it was 10-15°C (50-60°F) out and did not feel too cold. The heated lamps in the lazeaway club made it a comfortable place to lounge with just a sweater/light jacket during my winter stay.
I appreciated the headboard in the room with ample charging and places to put things. Service was good while we were there, with friendly staff. I liked the toiletries in the bathroom and that I was given plenty of towels.
CONS:
Walls were thin between bedrooms. I was fine with my earplugs in, but lots of random noises without them. Lots of light coming into the room under the door (I was able to block it with a towel). Various other random lights in room from phone and something on the ceiling. The sink had a chunk missing from the porcelain, although it did appear otherwise clean.
I was pretty happy here and wanted to give 5 stars, but ultimately needed to deduct one for the room issues
