weirdly rude staff

The thing is this is the only place open in Stinson, which kinda sucks. I only can give credit to the food. Apparently you’re not allowed to open your laptop here because it doesn’t “go with the vibe” when literally I was the only person sitting. Wished they had a better sense of logic to serve their customers well when it looks like they really need them.

Cute little breakfast brunch place in Stinson beach. Easy access to the beach afterwards. Good food

The food has just been really bad the last few times I've gone. The roast chicken came out as a few sliced chunks in a tiny dish - it felt like eating overpriced lunchables - served with fries that were cold and hard. The skillet charred vegetables consisted mostly of soft carrots and cauliflower in a watery broth. I love the coffee and pastries and the shop has great turkey sandwiches, but I don't think I'd eat dinner there again anytime soon.

This is probably my first negative review of a restaurant.

First time visiting and our server wore a hat, sunglasses and a medical mask—inside the restaurant!
I was reluctant to leave a tip the whole time.

After we left she chased us demanding a tip.
(Not willing to get cussed out, we left a 10% tip). She didn’t even say thank you. Horrible experience.

Great food though and the foreign chefs were amazing to talk to!

The cashier was very rude and stupid....we ask if he can help us by telling what the name of the product on the glass container....his answer was there the menu up there....when it just a name no photo how it look like. If you're in customer service, it is part of your job to explain does. Don't short-cut it.

We order hot chocolate, matcha, chocolate banana bread, and chocolate croissants...
The food was delicious, but I wish they had heard up the bread.

It’s about food, right? The quality of the product here has really declined since my last visit——chopped salad that had zero flavor, fries that were soggy. And, as a final insult, the owners have one bathroom for an entire restaurant and an outdoor patio. One bathroom! And have assigned the job of policing the restaurant entrance and bathroom line to one unfortunate staff person. Why expand the seating capacity and dissuade customers with badly prepared food and limited resources? It’s like insurance against repeat customers. Folks deserve better!

We try to eat here at least a couple time per year. Always provides excellent food & service. Some inside seating and a large patio with views of Mt. Tam

Chilled seafood sampler very fresh and tasty. My husband got the seafood stew and I got chowder. Never had a clam chowder with so many and big clams. Glass of Chardonnay and Bloody Mary were just as tasty. Great atmosphere and good service. Would def recommend and will return!

in short: overpriced breakfast (30+ per person) near a good location. no wonder it has $$$ sign on google, manage your expectations if you come here. Personally I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Incredible atmosphere and the eggs Benedict were superb with a cortado. Seems like the main complaints are about the service. Might just be cultural differences.

We did hear an argument about a party sitting down at a table and waiting too long for the rest of their party to arrive.

If you’re easy going and just sit down to have a meal, I think this place is wonderful. Fast service, great food, and the ambience is just incredible on a sunny day. Highly recommend

Terrible food , way over priced!

Really expensive, 4 people had to burgers which were dry and the fries horrible. 12 oysters, 2 orders of mussels 2 Glasses of wine and 2 iced tea....$250.
With tax and tip $290.
I was not pleased.
I suggest packing your own food next time visiting Stinson Beach.

They not only have a walk up bakery and coffee front, but also a have a meal crowd. I did a quick stop and tried honey sticky bun and a raisinRoll and both were delicious. The young lady at the counter was friendly and helpful.
I could only give the food 4 stars because I measure all cinnamon type buns and rolls against 2 fish up at gualala and so far nothing has compared to that on this planet.

Some fantastic options. Made 5 star Baer in location (perfect stop halfway through a double dipsea!)

Go for:
1. Bread pudding chocolate muffin (so sense)
2. Morning bun
3. Mushroom Frittata

Skip the blueberry muffin - very very dry.

Simply awful meal. Tasteless burger on a stale brioche. Good fries. Worst chopped salad imaginable. Nice room and wonderful server. Confusion over the restroom. Maybe breakfast is better. And not cheap Dipped softserve at the stand was fun.

The food was just okay. I tried the Roasted Chicken with Pesto and Parmesan. It was decent, but we had to wait for a long time in the queue. The place and locality were good, and they offered healthy food, but the taste was just okay.

Let me save you some time. Some of the reviews here are really good and some of them are really bad. If you want a great, fresh seafood or steak meal, go in and sit down, spend a little time & expect to spend a little money for fantastic, fresh, creative food that is clearly a work of love. If you just want a beer or two or a snack after hiking or to take to the beach, this is not the kind of food that travels super well I would imagine. The fresh oysters are out of this world, the seafood is perfect & creative but its not the kind of food i'd like to put in a box and take to eat on the beach. Maybe the pizza or crab cakes or french fries will make it to the beach. But the rest of the food you need to go in and enjoy at a table because this is fine dining. I understand why the owners don't want hikers to come in and just sit there sipping beers on the patio, this place seems like a labor of love & you should enjoy it and appreciate it how it is meant to be appreciated.

We visited during remodeling of some sort. Only outdoor seating at this time and limited menu. Call for actual hours. Website Posted close time was different .most would give less stars We saw one lady running around serving all tables & one busser. our food took extremely long because of an ingredient availability issue? Great atmosphere & history here. Just be patient during this time . Play it safe and order the pizza- that's what most of the locals seemed to be doing

They are your basic seaside café but the food was good and the staff was friendly, especially for being as packed as they were!

Came here as a road trip stop. Food was not the greatest: the fries were cold and the fish was mid at best. Only redeeming food item was the chicken sandwich. And they closed their seating area...

Very poor service. Seemed oddly aggressive. Small dining area. You have to order pizza for take out only for some reason.

If you want pizza by the slice it is served at outdoor temperature as they do not heat up slices. Found that a bit odd.
