Opened in 1968, Café Beaujolais claims French roots... But that doesn't stop its few pasta dishes from transporting the customer to Italy. This is due to the expertise of the chef, Julian, who has worked in several Italian kitchens during his travels in Europe. In addition to its refined menu and tasty dishes, the restaurant is located in a very pleasant setting: a Victorian country house built in 1893 and surrounded by lush gardens. The icing on the cake: a fine selection of wines.

Food is probably some of the best you can get in Mendocino but my overall experience was not enjoyable, from a prior date (out-of-date) wine menu to the missing mussels in the cioppino (basically it wasn't cioppino but clams in red sauce) to the 40 minute wait for main course. Just an overall frustrating dining experience.
