Lighthouse still operational north of Mendocino offering the possibility to visit and spend the night there
Nearly 6 km north of Mendocino, this lighthouse is one of the only ones in the area that is still operational. While the site is particularly windy, the beautiful scenery surrounding it makes the trip worthwhile. Once inside, you can visit the Lighthouse Museum and the Assistant Lightkeeper's House Museum. It is even possible to spend the night there, especially in the keeper's house, where the early 20th century facilities are reconstructed.
