Pastries are delicious!

Really nice place to grab a coffee, sweet treat or lunch. High-quality, organic and local ingredients, served fresh, great flavor, the real deal. The coffee was fresh, soups were served hot, flaky croissants. Also, the location is beautiful, right on the town center/green. I would definitely come back and try more menu items.

Food was tasty though the French pastries need some work. They were not light and fluffy as is characteristic typical French culinary delights. I had the waffle which was good and hearty. Portion size was sufficient. I would come again but skip their pastries.

Delicious teas, coffees, baked goods with tasty lunch and dinner specials.

Could work better on customer service. Ordered a coffee took like 20 minutes to wait for it. Also they forgot to put the sleeve over my to go coffee cup and put a lid on it. Most coffee places do that also they didn't put any milk or cream in my coffee like I asked for. Small coffee and cookie was a little over priced won't be coming back.

Wonderful atmosphere, and the pastries are amazing. Their seasonal options are perfect

Food was delicious and came out relatively quick as they were very busy for Sunday brunch. We got the California Benedict and the brunch burger. Both tasted sooo good and were fresh and hot. Their coffee was super tasty and strong as well. Location was pretty small and didn’t have many seating options inside but the atmosphere was overall nice. Will be coming again and recommending to others.

Good breakfast! Started a September 2016 roadtrip here up the Oregon coast to Seattle.

Have been a fan of their pastries before, but went to the café itself for the first time and was served the saltiest, most inedible plate of eggs and potatoes. Tasted like it was cooked in burnt oil as well. Don't order the food, stick to the pastries and coffee.

The avocado, chevre, and caramelized onions sandwich was divine

Hands down the best breakfast in that area ! Went there almost every day because it was THAT good. A bit pricey but worth it - most often days had their seasonal special: a chanterelle and goat cheese omelet that you could still think about days later!! It came with the most Epic toasted buttered homemade bread - they also have fantastic cakes and fine patisserie and super friendly staff ! If you’re in Arcata this is the place to have breakfast and early lunch. On sunny days - their terrace is unbeatable !

The wait was a little longer and finding a table was difficult, but it was all worthwhile as the food and drinks were excellent.

Visited during my stop at Cal Poly Humboldt. This spot was spectacular.

people in town recommended this place so I went with very high expectations.
the mimosas (with prosecco) and pastries (pain à chocolat) get ???? but the breakfast not so much.
my tofu scramble and hash potatoes were totally dull (no salt, no spices), also no toast to go with this 15$ dish, it felt a bit too uncared for.
the service was excellent. the atmosphere nice only a little dirty but it was super busy.

My husband and I visited Cafe Brio at the end of August! Our Airbnb host actually recommended it as a place to get coffee. I don’t think that I would personally call Cafe Brio a coffee shop. I definitely consider it more as a restaurant! My husband got a mocha and he said it was okay. I got a latte with a seasonal, rose syrup. It had too much syrup for my personal preference. I thought that it was over-powering the taste of the espresso! I had also ordered quiche to-go. I think that if we would have dined it I may have had a better experience. I thought the location was great and that it had great seating options - inside and out! The staff were nice but I wouldn’t say they were friendly and welcoming. Overall, I would still give this cafe a 5 stars. If we decide to go back we may dine in and have more of a brunch! I just remembered my husband got a sort of double chocolate cookie and it was amazing!! I would definitely give their baked goods a try!

Your food is so fresh and always different choices.

The best coffee in town, and they greet you with a big smile. I can always trust that the espresso won’t be burnt etc. Everyone is kind, fast, and consistent. I love the variety of pastries, getting to try something new every time I visit is so fun. They have great vegan options as well, very refreshing! You are definitely paying for quality and it’s worth it.

Можливо трішки задорого, але дуже смачно. Найкращі круасани, що ми їли в Каліфорнії. На відміну від Paris Baguette, тісто смачне і основне - не солодке. Кава смачна також.

How does a food service “professional”burn a chocolate croissant when you ask for it to be warmed? You chat it up with the cool bros that don’t have anything better to do than corner cafe workers when they are supposed to be working. I once paid $30+ for huevos rancheros here. Instead of improving over the years, it has gotten worse. Don’t bother eating here when you could eat at Los Bagels or Renata’s Creperie.

Someone removed my post about the deception cafe Brio did when they raised the prices for their products but not posting the new prices in the showcase for over a month! Still waiting to hear from the owner

Everything is wildly overpriced in the area and this cafe is not an exception. Two coffees and a croissant for $21 before tipping. The staff is really nice and friendly but the atmosphere is meh, and the coffee was mediocre at best - had a burnt bitter flavor.
