Mutant human-powered art tanks must travel 50 miles (80 kilometers) over land, sand, water and mud.
A local tradition since 1969, the Kinetic Race is not a parade! In the Kinetic Grand Championship, mutant human-powered art tanks must travel 50 miles (80 kilometers) over dirt, sand, water and mud. And all for the glory! Founded by metal sculptor Hobart Brown, this North Coast tradition has grown from a two-block race on Main Street Ferndale to a three-day marathon held every Memorial Day weekend. Don't miss it, you'll remember it for the rest of your life!
