At the foot of the Cinder Cone, you can admire the Painted Ladies, colored lava dunes covered with ashes
The northeast of the park is a vast volcanic area with several ash cones. The most famous of these ancient volcanoes is the Cinder Cone, which rises to 2,105 metres. The round trip to the top is 4.7 miles. And from the top the view of Lassen Peak is breathtaking. Don't miss the Painted Ladies, colourful lava dunes covered with ashes at the foot of Cinder Cone.
