Mexican cuisine with options for vegetarians and vegans. Mayahuel's tequila menu is absolutely amazing and worth trying (in moderation)! In this restaurant, which qualifies as a museum with its numerous murals painted by the artist Gabriel Romo, the feeling of being in Mexico is omnipresent. On the food side, tortilla chips and their sauce are served immediately to your table and small tapas style dishes are to be enjoyed such as enchiladas, tacos and even guacamole toasts.

Honestly it was really meh… they had something about being Michelin star rated, but it was incredibly underwhelming and over priced for mediocre inauthentic Mexican food.
The music was too loud; we couldn’t hear each other speak.
The small beautifully plated Pollo Guajillo dish with less than 6oz of dry chicken and overdone mushrooms was soooo salty I couldn’t wash it down with 2 cups of water.

We then ordered dessert for a friends b-day, but the ice cream was rock solid and we couldn’t dig into it. It was a small (tiny) 1 scoop for $8.
The Mango cake was good only at the meringue, the sponge was rather dry.
The flan was really thin and dense, far from the authentic creamy Mexican flan with caramel sauce.
This half an inch flan seemed have been left out uncovered in the fridge for 3days then sprinkled with granulated sugar before serving.

The alcohol was strong enough on the old fashioned thankfully.

The BIGGEST reason for the low stars aside from the inauthentic, salty, dry food, was the fact that the dining tables in the reservation section are PLASTIC FOLD OUT PICNIC TABLES! ( Lifetime brand)
Them tables were old and raggedy and the food tilted because the center folding piece wasn’t locked in correctly… ????????‍♀️????‍♂️ just look at the table legs if you make a reservation here.

Legit they put lipstick on a pig and said good enough! ????
I genuinely recommend to avoid this place… if the food was good I wouldn’t care about the price or aesthetic..
I can eat a good taco standing near the side of the road if it’s worth it, so I’m not picky about aesthetics…But the food was so mediocre and so was the restaurant set up overall.

They had nothing worthwhile to offer.

The drink was spot on delicious, highly recommended to try their cocktails. Has the pistachio mole, tasty but even with mole was on the dry side.
