Very practical if you are seized by a big hunger that only a very good kebab could fill, but this time with the Greek option! These sandwiches are wonderfully made here. You can also order nice plates with grilled meat and vegetables. Moreover, Petra Greek is open relatively late. This is where everyone meets for dinner after hitting the dance floors of Sacramento. You can eat inside but we recommend "take out". Interesting happy hour every day from 3 pm to 7 pm.

My go tos are the beefteki (that’s how they spell it on the menu), pork souvlaki, and Greek salad. But yes even those are hit n miss. At times, the beefteki can be a bit mushy, cooked through but mushy and fall apart. Some pork souvlaki cuts can be fatty gristle. Pricing is a bit higher, than other like establishments in the burbs. However this joint is not in the burbs, it’s in midtown Sacramento.
The place can get super busy during lunch. They do take online and call in orders. The times that I walk in to place an order, I wait near the cash register so I can hear the staff call out my order name. It’s loud in there especially with a full house of customers and the noise from the open kitchen. If you don’t pick up your order quick enough, they just leave it at the counter for anyone to take.
I’ve had my orders swiped before.
