Do not, under any circumstances, stay at this gobsmackingly awful motel. It’s 1:37 a.m. as I write this. I drove 9 hours to come to Sacramento, and all I wanted was a good nights sleep. Well, not tonight. There is a night club a block away and the hoofers sound like the Hounds of Hell barking at my door (I tried pulling the pillows over my ears and it made it worse). I amped up the AC but nothing—NOTHING—blocks the noise. The train is blasting its horn at Denali-high decibels and now two women are yakking outside my yellow urine-stained door. The room is old. The carpet is threadbare. There is mold everywhere. If you like spiders, you’ll enjoy the elevator. Just stay away. Save yourself the misery and run. Run far away from this hell-hole. Your eardrums will thank you.
I got up in the middle of the night to use the restroom, the bathroom floor was all wet, I looked up, and there was a leak from the ceiling, then I noticed black mold growing all behind the door. I could tell by looking at surrounding areas that instead of properly fixing the problem before that, they had just been painting over mold. I then looked around the rest of the room to discover patches of unmatched paint covering up other problems. It's was 2am so I went back to sleep and complained to the front desk in the morning. The front desk was rude and told me I should have just changed my room at 2am and refused a refund. I asked to speak to a manager and there wasn't one available. The front desk took my info and said they'd call me and sort out this problem, it's been a couple weeks and I haven't heard anything from them. So here is my review along with some pictures I took. Unfortunate.
My go to place whenever i stay in Sac. Great staff and breakfast. Front desk person Karen in awsome. Pretty good breakfast for a hotel. Always the go 2 spot.
The pool has been closed for months by order of the city due to safety issues and the front desk doesn't seem to even know considering they mentioned the pool at check in. We have water dripping into the bathroom through the ceiling and plaster is falling down into the room in multiple places due to water damage. The only redeeming quality of this hotel is the location.
