STATE INDIAN MUSEUM
The State Indian Museum of California presents the sixty or so indigenous groups that populated the state.
The State Indian Museum is worth a visit. Here you will discover more than 60 indigenous groups who inhabited this territory long before the arrival of Westerners who turned their lives upside down. These natives spoke more than 90 languages and 300 dialects, ate plants, fruits and seeds, hunted, fished, healed themselves with plants and religious rituals, made baskets to store their annual gatherings and ceremonies. And all this is presented here!
