So kind, accommodating, and gave us the best experience here. The cafe here is amazing too, smoothies are all made fresh! Will def come again thank you for making us feel so welcomed!!
I wanted to like it because I've had a good experience at Basecamp Boulder, but we found foreign hairs on the bedsheets and pillowcases. There were also used disposable contact lenses stuck on the bedside table. Additionally, the walls are paper thin, which magnified the sound from the 2 dogs from a neighboring room that barked constantly when their owners were not there.
There is also a cafe onsite which we had breakfast at both mornings, the food was really good and we found the staff really personable and helpful however we found the man who checked us in didn't give us the warmest of welcomes. There are two hot tubs and we went in the upstairs one which was lovely. Unfortunately we had a really bad nights sleep on our first night as the guests staying above us were making so much noise and having a loud argument. The floorboards are so creaky at this hotel and walls really thin so there is no guaranteed good nights sleep. I would suggest requesting a room on the top floor to avoid this. We requested a room change but this was not accommodated however the hotel manager kindly refunded us half our first night stay total to compensate for the issue.
Overall it is a nice hotel but we probably wouldn't rush back.
- The whole hotel is dog friendly, thank you very much for that, it was really great to be able to have my dogs with me ( that I consider as my children lol )
-The hotel is very well located.
- You are very close to shops and restaurants. Which is convenient.
-The staff are friendly.
-The rooms are clean.
- It's easy to park in front of the hotel when it's not busy.
- Nice courtyard area with bonfires and games and a cool little bar.
- A warm, dog-friendly little bar.
The other point is a little restrictive:
- The ventilation/heating/air-conditioning system sounds like a lawnmower engine all the time, and if you switch it off, it sounds like a refrigerator vibrating all the time... It was annoying in the long run.
- Tv : Old tv , no possibility to put Nelfix and watch a movie before sleeping , it's an old tv , with buy tv channels .
- No maid service during the 3 days I stayed and no coffee supply. I have two dogs and when we went to the beach they had sand accumulated under their feet so it wasn't pleasant to see the ground dirty, plus it was snowing and muddy ..... A little tap on the floor would have been nice ... or added something in the rooms for people to clean themselves, that wouldn't have bothered me.
- No coffee at reception .....
- No garbage cans in the courtyard, I always pick up after my dogs and there was no garbage can... I had to find one in the middle of the street ...
Thank you for your welcome and your service.
Unique to Basecamp, they didn't provide a microwave for guests to use. Surprisingly, the front desk lady told us that heating a simple breakfast using their microwave would cost $15, which is outrageous.
The room was average, with some issues like stained towels and low shower pressure. The lack of soundproofing was also a problem, as we could hear the neighboring guests clearly.
Considering better experiences at other nearby hotels, we probably won't return to Basecamp.
idéal pour les familles (nous étions avec deux enfants).
Personnel jeune et dynamique
