It has been dropping water from the ceiling in our room. The receptionist was not helpful at all. Our room phone wasn't working either so we had to go down in person, once we told the receptionist, she told me to go back to the room and she would call somebody.
A couple of hours later, we still can't use the toilet without getting a shower...
Also, the wifi is not working properly.
Only 2 stars because the rooms are clean and the location seems modern.
Update: nobody came to fix the issue or offered us a different room/discount because our restroom was inaccessible to us all stay. We had to use a restroom in the lobby. I would give 0 stars if I could.
There's a restaurant right next door (Bar Sierra), which is convenient and Black Tie Ski Rental company picks up your rentals at a rack by the lobby. They also had a indoor fireplace with board games which was cool.
There's a free red and teal bus across the street, that'll take you into the Mammoth mountain village.
Negatives
- No housekeeping throughout our stay. I was hoping for the bed to be made and trash to be taken out but that never happened
- Lobby knocks on your door loudly at 10:30 to ensure you're leaving at checkout time, even though we paid extra for a late checkout
- 1 ply toilet paper
- The map is sort of like a maze with many staircases, difficult to find the sauna and steam room
- If you stay on the first floor, you can hear all the footsteps (however, easier to stay on the first floor than figure out the 2nd floor maze)
- The steam room wasn't working
- Room was freezing cold when we got there and took hours to warm up once we turned the heat on
Anyways, the big problem here is both my partner and I have been charged random charges on our cards, I called the property and was brushed off and was told I can only inquire about this issue via email, which I did, and I have yet to hear a response. I have emailed them everyday and have yet to receive a single reply. So moral of the story, be careful with this hotel. Now I am dealing with this nonsense post vacation. Will not be coming back here. Horrible customer service.
Great hot tub & common areas of the hotel, and free coffee and tea in the lobby is nice to have and worth leaving the room for in the morning. The crepe truck on the property is SO GOOD. The soaps in the room are a nice luxurious touch. This is my go-to Mammoth hotel from now on!

nobody answered our email

because your supervisor wasn't there
when we arrived, front desk staff gave us a wrong room , we talked them they gave us another room ( we was there feb23-feb25)
and we paid for our room
march 2th ,i realized they also charged my credit card ($700 without permission) for the wrong room too , when I called the hotel, they said it was a mistake because we tought you have 2 room , they put a note for follow up and told me someone will call you sunday to return the money, i was waiting at sunday but they didn't respond to me , i sent emails but didn't get any answer,
monday i called again to follow up, front desk answerd & said with a bad attitude our supervisor is not here we can't do anything!!!!!!!
you realy should send your employees to customer service training.
we still wait to someone call us back and resolve this issue ....
as soon as we entered the hotel they gave us the wrong room, we reserved a balcony room with Mountain view but they gave us a little room with a small window , when we called front dest , a lady answered & said we have no more room , we upset but asked go down the price of this simple room but she said with a bad attitude no we can't!!!! after that we talked with her supervisor he promised to give us a better room for just waiting half an hour , but when we called back to confirm it the same lady said you should wait 3-4 hours !!!! we don't have any room ready and our supervisor left , we got realy tired , one hours later after so much headache finally they gave us a better room (but room that wasn't same as we reserved)
Initially, they ruined our trip
Great bar area and surround seating at fireplace, got to listen to amazing jazz / saxophone while sipping on a great glass of wine, and playing connect 4.
Leslie at front desk was so welcoming and helpful, a great representative of this place.
We went to the restaurant both nights, again, live music, food was great, and fantastic ambience!
We are looking forward to coming back here.
Perfectly located, walking distance to Vons, staggering distance to the shuttle.
I can’t say enough good things about this place, we had an amazing time.
I'd say if you have specific or nonnegotiable expectations for your stay, it would be good to call beforehand and just let them know so you are taken care of. You can rest assured, though, no matter what arises, the team is genuinely dedicated to making sure you feel cared for and that you got your money's worth.
Special shoutout to Leslie at the front desk and Debbie on the sales/management team, who seriously bent over backwards to make me feel like royalty.
