PLACE ERMOU
The town of Larnaka is a popular stopping-off point on the way to the archaeological site of Kition.
The pleasant square "Hermes" (Πλατεία Ερμού/Platia Ermou) was created in 2010 on a small portion of the long Ermou Street. This 80 m long pedestrian space is lined with some old houses, stores and large terraces of bars and restaurants. And, since 2020, it is dominated by the chic Samirana Hotel. Away from the tourist hustle and bustle of the waterfront, the square is mostly frequented by locals. A nice stop on the way to the archaeological site of Kition (1 km north) or to the Natural History Museum (800 m northwest).
