MUSÉE DU THÉÂTRE DE CHYPRE
Municipal Museum. History of modern Cypriot theater since the arrival of the British in 1878. Costumes from 1930-1970.
This municipal museum (Θεατρικό Μουσείο Κύπρου/Theatriko Mousio Kyprou) focuses on the short history of modern theater on the island, since the arrival of the British in 1878. It was established by the town hall in 2012 from the donation of a theater-loving optician, Nikos Nikolaidis (1909-1989). The visit is especially worthwhile for the rich collection of costumes from the 1930s-1970s, which are well displayed. The museum is located in the Panos-Solomonidis cultural center.
