LADY'S MILE BEACH
White and grey sandy beach, 7 km long, south of Limassol harbor. Ideal for swimming and birdwatching.
In Akrotiri Bay, this 7 km-long beach is named after the horse of a former governor of the British military base. It runs from the commercial port terminal in the north to the barbed wire fence of the Akrotiri air base in the south. Made up of white and grey sand and devoid of vegetation due to its proximity to Limassol's salt lake (1 km to the west), this beach is popular with birdwatchers and Limassol residents alike. The place is generally quiet, except when fighter planes take off.
