PISSOURI BEACHES
Beach located at the foot of the village of Pissouri with good facilities (umbrellas, deckchairs, restaurants, hotels...).
At the foot of the village of Pissouri, in the bay of Pissouri itself, the beach (sand and pebbles) is over 1 km long. It is well-equipped with umbrellas, deckchairs, restaurants, hotels and disabled access. To make the most of it, it's all a question of budget. Those who can afford it can stay in one of the island's most beautiful tourist villages: Columbia Village (behind the hotel of the same name). But it's a rather expensive place to stay. Authentic and affordable, to the east of Pissouri, Avdimou beach is located in the sovereign base of Akrotiri. It is 1.5 km long, with a main beach (sand and some pebbles, 1 km), then another beach (sand, 200 m), as well as several small bays. Access is by freeway from the village of Avdimou. Quiet and uncrowded, there are a few tavernas on site. To the west of Pissouri Bay, Cape Aspro boasts a number of small, wild and quiet coves. Finally, a naturist beach is only accessible by boat or on foot. It's near Avdimou beach. The first step is to reach the beach known as Secret Beach. From the village of Avdimou, follow the signs for the Melanda Beach tavern and restaurant. Then, from Secret Beach, follow the coast westwards for a few minutes towards Pissouri. If this beach is so difficult to access, it's simply because naturism is forbidden in Cyprus.
