Since 1994, an oasis has been sparkling in the arid Ezousa valley. This 18-hole course has greatly contributed to the impoverishment of the region's water resources, leading to desertification of the island. Admittedly, the Minthis golf course is now making efforts to recycle water. But, on 5 km2, it is now a complex of about a hundred luxury villas with swimming pools that pumps into the groundwater. The wealthy foreigners who invest here live in isolation with restaurants, home chefs, wellness centres, sports fields and riding schools
