This 7 km loop trail (Μονοπάτι Άρτεμις/Monopati Aretemis/Artemis Trail) circles Mount Olympus between 1,835 and 1,850 m above sea level. Named after the Greek goddess of Wild Nature and the Hunt, it begins at the Zeus/Dias chairlift. Offering superb views, it passes through a forest of local black pines (Pinus nigra pallasiana) some five centuries old, the Hermes tug-of-war, then by 16th-century Venetian fortifications known as the "old village walls" (Τεισιά της Παλιάς Χώρας/Tisia tis Palias Choras).
