This Greek Orthodox monastery (Ιερά Μονή Παναγιάς Τρικουκκιώτισσας/Iera Moni Panagias Trikoukkiotissas, Monastery of Virgin Mary Trikoukkiotissa) houses a 16th-century church, a miraculous icon of the Virgin, a botanical garden and a store where the nuns sell honey, olives and more. Dedicated to the Mother of God, the complex owes its epithet to the presence of the Provence hackberry (Celtis australis), a tree locally known as trikoutsia.
